A safer London is a brighter London

We're determined to make journeys in London safer for everyone. That's why we're continually making improvements to our roads.

At any one time we're running hundreds of projects designed to improve living and travelling conditions in London's public spaces.

This includes work to create safer, greener and more attractive streets and town centres, and safer conditions for cyclists and pedestrians - part of the Mayor of London's commitment to the Healthy Streets Approach.

Working with the boroughs, we also make large scale improvements to bridges, tunnels and major roads to allow people and vehicles to move more efficiently, safely and reliably around the network.
